Paul G. Doeg

PAUL G. DOEG, Chief Operating Officer, joined R. H. Perry & Associates in 2001 and is based in Asheville, North Carolina. Mr. Doeg has supported more than 200 of the firm’s presidential and senior administrative search assignments, focusing on strategic planning of research and sourcing; candidate identification; performing top candidate interviews and preliminary referencing; and coordinating in-depth finalist due diligence, including conducting multiple given and non-given reference checks.

As Senior Consultant, Mr. Doeg has served as both a lead consultant and second team member of the firm’s searches.  In addition, Paul serves as co-director of the firm's Value-Added Search Services (VASS) program, which is designed to assist search committees conducting their own searches with support for key elements of their search process.  

Paul has recently completed his fifth assignment for San José State University (SJSU) in the last two years, the Associate Vice President for Academic Technology.  He has also completed assignments for SJSU Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs, Vice President Administration and Finance, Vice President for Student Affairs, and the Dean of the College of the Humanities and the Arts.  In addition, Paul has led assignments for the Dean of the College of Business Administration at Niagara University, and the Dean of the School of Business at the University of Bridgeport.  Paul has assisted MSUB in its recent searches for the Chancellor and the Provost and Vice Chancellor of Academic Affairs. 

Paul has served as treasurer on the board of directors of the Livingston (MT) Humane Society, and played an integral role in the management of its endowment as well as in the development of the organization’s strategic plan.  He has also provided pro bono recruitment consulting to the Western Sustainability Exchange, an organization committed to promoting sustainable resource stewardship in the West.

Paul received his B.A. from the University of Virginia and is currently pursuing the M.S. degree in Organizational Leadership at Regis University.
