RHPA first developed its proprietary search committee handbook in 1998 to assist governing boards and search committees in conducting effective senior level administrative searches in the academy.
Today, the more recent editions of the handbooks reflect suggestions from a number of clients as well as our own refinements based on experience. The dedication in the original handbook remains the same, "To the many trustees and search committee members with whom we have had the privilege of working."
The handbook is provided to Committee members at the outset of the assignment (review the Handbook's Table of Contents). It provides the guidelines and benchmarks for each phase of the process, creating a transparent and positive working relationship between the Committee and search team.
"The RHPA Search Committee Guide for Conducting Senior Administrative Searches" is intended for institutions conducting their own searches with the assistance of our VALUE-ADDED SEARCH SERVICES Program as well as for those retaining our Firm for a fully integrated search engagement.
